If you select Enable Smart Tracker, the system will automatically [tracker] tag in your URL with a running number.

The running number is date field that comes with several type of formats

For example :

yyyy = 2007 ( year ), mm = 06 ( month ), dd = 10 ( day )

Just assume that your original URL is like this : http://dkwan.secretaff.hop.clickbank.net/

On 2007-06-03, you get 2 sales BUT how are you able to know the customers that you referred are resulted from which day ?

Nowadays, it is very common that most of the website will try to ask the visitor to opt into your mailing list and the merchant will start to follow up and sell for you.

By having a Smart Tracker in your redirection URL automatically, you can easily know how many days it needs for a visitors to be converted into a customer.

To create a Smart Tracker URL, just click on Enable Smart Tracker and select the date format that you want.

Then, configure your URL correctly ...

http://dkwan.secretaff.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=[tracker]

Our program will automatically convert the [tracker] into the date format that you specified.

Assuming today is 2007-06-10 ( 10th June 2007 ), your target URL will looks like :

http://dkwan.secretaff.hop.clickbank.net/?tid=20070610

You can use the [tracker] for any type of URL as long as they support tracking ID or sub ID.

Now, click on the link which I created http://3logs.com/um1ocx and click on the ORDER PAGE.

Then, scroll to the bottom and see what is the affiliate ID being tagged ?

My Humble Experiment

Let me show you a real case study which I personally tested using one of my Clickbank account.

The main objective is to test and track how many days I can close the sale after the visitors opt-in my mailing list.

Look at the TID - 20070810 , the order date is 2007-08-10. 

It means that when the visitor opt in my name squeeze page and make a purchase immediately.

Where as for the other TID - 20070702, the visitor opt in my list on 2nd July.

He/she buys from me on 2007-08-09.

By having such statistics, we can estimate how well the autoresponder message and the name squeeze page performs.
